Flow Fire Protection, Inc.  is now proud to offer the REHAU line of fire protection products for NFPA 13D (single family residences) fire sprinkler systems.  This piping system has many advantages over other types of materials some of which include superior flow characteristics, Corrosion resistance, and proven longevity.  Below are a few photos of what an install might look like in your home!

.

For more information click the link below and look for our REHAU section on our products page.

Here are a few pictures of some pipe we are replacing at a local business.  It is a dry system that was installed in the mid 70's.  This is a good reason to ensure a proper maintenance schedule is developed right from the commissioning of a new system.

RESIDENTIAL SPRINKLERS.

I thought this article brought up some great points about Residential sprinklers..........

"If you are building a new home or doing extensive renovations, however, the installation of an automatic fire sprinkler system becomes easier. For about the same cost as top-quality floor covering, you can have a residential automatic fire sprinkler system installed.

By doing this, you are providing your family with a 24 hour-a-day firefighter living in your home, ready to respond quickly and reliably in the event a fire should break out. Think about it, a system that - with no interaction required by you - can apply an engineered quantity of water directly on the fire, thereby quickly extinguishing the fire and protecting your loved ones and your belongings. And this water is applied much more quickly than the fire department can have a fire truck sitting in front of your house, dragging hoses, breaking windows and forcing doors.

Not only that, the amount of water discharged by sprinkler system is only about 10 to 15 percent of the water that a single fire attack line will apply in the same amount of time.

I know that the thought of installing a residential sprinkler system is not in the minds of most people when they start planning a new house or remodeling project. I encourage you, in fact, I challenge you, to spend a little time researching and pricing a residential fire sprinkler system if a new house or major renovation is in your future. I think you will be surprised at the relatively low cost of such a system. And the peace of mind that goes with these systems is priceless."
